Consecration and Installation of the Bishop of Dunwich

Everyone is invited to join the Revd Canon Dr Mike Harrison and his family for the two services to mark the start of his ministry among us as our next Bishop of Dunwich. Details of how to obtain tickets to both or either service are below.  Please make your congregations aware of this information. Not everyone will receive this notice so please announce it in Church and post on your notice board, website, social media etc. so as many people as possible have the opportunity to attend both or either service.

Consecration Service
Wednesday 24 February, 11.00am at Westminster Abbey

A Eucharist with the Ordination and Consecration of the Revd Canon Michael Harrison to be Suffragan Bishop of Dunwich and the Ven Karen Gorham to be Suffragan Bishop of Sherborne will take place in Westminster Abbey at 11.00am. Tickets are free and administered directly by the Abbey. They are obtainable by clicking on the link below. Once you have submitted your details, you will receive a confirmation email which will contain your ticket. Please make sure you have entered your email address correctly so that the confirmation email reaches you – you can then print off your ticket(s).

Installation Service
Saturday 27 February, 3.30pm at St Edmundsbury Cathedral

A celebration of mission to welcome Mike and his family to our diocese. The service will be based around the ‘Growing in God’ Diocesan vision for growth, and will include music and prayers for all ages and traditions. Everyone is invited to be seated in the nave, clergy (no robing) and laity together. Followed by tea and cake for all.
